MIRIAM, The GETAWAY PLANNER

THE YOUNG YEARS

I have been an RN for over twenty years.  When I am not working, I am either
going somewhere or planning to go somewhere.  The traveling seed was
planted at a very early age.  As a child of a career Army Dad, I lived in
Anchorage, Alaska and Pottstown, Pennsylvania.  After my Dad retired from the
service, our traveling came to a halt.  Although we didn't go on any vacations, I
still had the memories of
Mt. McKinley and the rolling hills of Pennsylvania in my
head.  Deep within my soul I knew I loved to travel to see new places.   After I
received my driver's license when I was seventeen, I began to take road trips.
The first time a friend and I went to the
Hudson River Valley, I thought my eyes
would pop out of my head.  It was breathtaking!  She had an aunt who was a
teacher at St. Mary's Catholic College near
Bear Mountain, Inn,  New York.  We
stayed in the dorms and had a ball!  Years later, I returned with my children.  We
stopped along the way to have lunch at
"The Depot."  It was an old train station.
They made an "ultimate burger."  Although three of my daughters are grown and
on their own, they still make "ultimate burgers" for their families too!
Surprise Getaways is my Specialty!
Time Marches on . . . The Middle Years

I married when I was nineteen.  We had friends that were "campers." We would go with them up to New Hampshire
and to
Bar Harbor, Maine.  I had never went camping as a child, so to me there was nothing like the smell of a
campfire.  It was heavenly to be able to look up and see the stars.      When I had children of my own, I made sure
that they experienced the great outdoors.  I took them to
Prince Edward Island, North Carolina, Virginia,
Massachusetts
, etc.   I remember one night we were camping in the Shenandoah, National Park.  In the middle of the
night,  we heard a noise outside our tent.  We opened the "window" and we saw about fifty deer grazing close to the
tent.  It was awesome!   Although my children were small, they knew to be quiet . . .  they knew not to disturb this
magnificent view!

For Those Interested in the  Planning of  Future Getaways . . .
Getaway Planning:  I want to make memories for people.  I find it exciting.  Although it may take hours to do the
planning, it is more like a passion fulfilled.   My getaway's make good presents for anniversaries, birthdays,
graduations, or for any occasion.  Maybe you and your spouse have been just dying to get away but there never
seems to be the time to do the planning.  I got it covered!  Follow the link to my
Three Minute Questionnaire.  Fill it
out then either send it by email
miriam@justgottagetaway.com or fax it to me at 1-618-465-5334.  Let me take it
from there.  You will be billed for the planning before I begin, as there is a lot of time that goes into planning the
"perfect" vacation.   You will receive a separate bill for the travel expenses to complete the getaway. When I look
over your questionnaire and if I should find your budget to be not adequate for the getaway, I will suggest an
amount that would be more reasonable.   Then, it is up to you to proceed or not.

I plan on having a link to post pictures of getaways that have taken place.  I will also be posting travel tips to make
your getaway the best that it can be.  My goal is to make this site a fun place to visit.

Hope to be assisting you soon!

Sincerely,

Miriam Susong, RN
